Learnix ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use our website, mobile app, and services.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a unique user ID. If you sign in with a third-party provider, we receive basic profile information (such as your profile image) from that provider.

Onboarding information. When you set up your account, we collect the responses you provide — such as your learning goals, interests, experience level, time commitment, and learning preferences — so we can personalize the experience.

Usage and learning data. We collect information about how you interact with Learnix, including course progress, lessons completed, XP earned, streaks, time spent, exam and practice test results, bookmarks, saved courses, review cards, and chess-related activity (ELO, puzzles, games). We also collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited.

Subscription and purchase data. When you subscribe, we receive subscription status, subscription identifiers, and purchase history from our payment processors. We do not store your full payment card details — these are handled directly by Apple, Stripe, or the applicable payment processor.

User-generated content. We store content you create or submit through Learnix, including messages you send to the AI tutor, custom courses you create, and feedback you provide. AI tutor messages are processed by our AI provider (see "Third-Party Services" below) to generate responses.

Cookies and tracking technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience, analyze traffic, and enhance our services.

How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and personalize the Learnix app and website

  • Process subscriptions and manage your account

  • Generate AI tutor responses and other AI-powered features

  • Track your learning progress and provide analytics about your usage

  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer support

  • Send updates, newsletters, or promotional content (with your consent)

  • Comply with legal requirements

Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third-party service providers to operate Learnix. These services process limited personal data on our behalf:

  • Clerk — authentication and account management

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing

  • RevenueCat — subscription management and purchase validation (in-app subscriptions on iOS)

  • Anthropic — AI model provider that powers our AI tutor. Messages you send to the AI tutor are sent to Anthropic to generate responses, subject to Anthropic's privacy and data-use terms.

  • Vercel — website and application hosting

  • Neon / database provider — secure database storage

Each of these providers is bound by their own privacy terms and applicable data-protection agreements.

How We Share Your Data

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data only:

  • With the service providers listed above, strictly to operate Learnix

  • If required by law, legal process, or to protect our legal rights

  • In connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), in which case we will notify you

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete information

  • Opt out of marketing communications

  • Request the deletion of your data, subject to legal obligations
